
(DCWatchdog.com) – BREAKING NOW: Just moments ago, the news broke that United States Representative Jackie Walorski, an Indiana Republican, was killed today in a head-on car crash.
Walorski has served as Indiana’s 2nd congressional district congresswoman since 2013.
Three other individuals were also killed in the crash.
According to the New York Post, “Walorski, 58, was riding in an SUV with her press secretary, Emma Thomson, and St. Joseph County Republican Party chairman Zachery Potts when a car traveling in the opposite direction crossed the median and hit them head-on. Thomson and Potts died as a result of the accident, along with the driver of the other car, identified as 56-year-old Edith Schmucker.”
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) confirmed that Walorksi and two of her staffers died in the car accident.
“I am devastated and saddened to learn about the tragic passing of my dear friend Jackie Walorksi and two of her staffers,” Scalise said.
The accident is still under investigation.
