(DCWatchdog.com) – In a controversial act, the Trump administration has hit Ukraine where it hurts the most by halting any new weapons sales to the war-torn country and freezing arms shipments from existing U.S. stockpiles.

This decision follows a failed meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
Many now question what this means for Ukraine’s ongoing battle against Russian aggression.
The decision to stop weapons sales to Ukraine comes amidst an ongoing war with Russia.
The Trump administration has decided to freeze the flow of new weapon sales and consider pausing current shipments from U.S. stockpiles.
This move follows a failed attempt to strike a mineral rights deal during a recent meeting between Trump and Zelensky.
Zelensky expressed hope for U.S. support, though Trump criticized him for comments regarding the Russia conflict.
Trump stated on social media, “This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer!”
Such disagreements only exacerbate the security concerns for Ukraine, which has heavily relied on U.S. military aid.
Currently, there’s around $3 billion left in the Presidential Drawdown Authority, and the Trump administration is still shipping a $1.22 billion package from the previous Biden administration.
However, the halt in immediate sales causes concern for Ukraine’s ability to fend off Russian forces.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously signed a waiver to continue financing, but it was not forwarded to the Defense Department.
The State Department has yet to comment on the halt, leaving many to speculate about the administration’s true intentions.
“We are working together with America and our European partners and very much hope on US support on the path to peace,” Zelensky said earlier.
Europe watches with interest as the Trump administration reconsiders its military commitment to Ukraine.
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer mentioned a “coalition of the willing,” saying, “(European allies) will go forth to develop a ‘coalition of the willing’ to defend a deal in Ukraine and to guarantee the peace.”
As other nations step in, it remains critical to see how this development affects U.S. influence and Ukraine’s future security.
Peace President: Trump HALTS All Weapon Sales to Ukraine
Checkmate.
The U.S. will also no longer finance weapon purchases for Ukraine.
Now watch how fast the European quislings scurry.
