(DCWatchdog.com) – A cancerous skin lesion was detected on the chest of President Joe Biden and allegedly was successfully removed, a report by his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, has disclosed.
O’Connor’s report on Biden’s health, which was made public by The White House at the end of last week, revealed that the skin lesion was a basal cell carcinoma, which “do not tend to ‘spread’ or metastasize.”
“No further treatment is required,” stated the physician’s report, as cited by Newsmax.
The cancerous skin formation was detected during the president’s annual medical examination on February 16.
After the checkup, the White House announced that Biden had again been declared “fit for duty.”
“The site of the biopsy has healed nicely and the president will continue dermatologic surveillance as part of his ongoing comprehensive healthcare,” O’Connor wrote in the report on the president’s health.
Biden’s doctor added basal cell carcinoma were generally more innocuous than “more serious skin cancers such as melanoma or squamous cell carcinoma.”
“President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those of as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” O’Connor declared after performing Biden’s medical examination in February.
80-year-old Joe Biden is the oldest to ever serve as president of the United States. He is expected to announce any day now that he is running for reelection in 2024.
Thus, the checkup he underwent in February was the last one before his widely anticipated announcement.
The report made it clear that last month’s examination saw Biden complete a series of tests that he began in 2022.
The checkups were performed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, a complex in the suburbs of the nation’s capital, including a presidential facility.
At the time, Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote the president had spent “a good deal of time in the sun in his youth.”
He revealed Biden had already been treated regularly for the removal of localized, non-melanoma skin cancers.
First Lady Jill Biden also underwent treatment for cancerous skin lesions in January at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Jill Biden had removed two confirmed skin cancer lesions – one above her right eye and another from her left eyelid.
A third lesion, which was found on her chest and seemed like basal cell carcinoma, was also excised. It turned out to be also that type of skin cancer, as confirmed later by test results.
