Biden Bribery Case Heats Up

US Rep. James Comer

(DCWatchdog.com) – US House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer has now revealed the FBI is conducting an investigation using the document of an informant implicating President Joe Biden in a bribery scheme.

Even though Comer subpoenaed the document weeks ago, the FBI has refused to produce it, leading the House GOP to prepare to hold the agency director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Comer (R-KY) stressed the ongoing probe validated the alleged contents of the document, which reportedly claims that as vice president, Biden was paid $5 million by a foreign national to influence US policy decisions.

“Today FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified FBI generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation,” said the House Oversight Committee leader, as cited by The Daily Caller.

Comer revealed he had reviewed the FD-1023 informant file at the FBI headquarters, taking notes on it, but wasn’t allowed to take possession of it.

“The confidential human source who provided information about then-Vice President Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for over ten years and has been paid over six figures,” the Kentucky Republican informed.

“These are facts and no amount of spin, and frankly lies, from the White House or congressional Democrats can change this information,” Comer emphasized.

The Oversight Committee chairman issued a subpoena for the file after he and US Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, were contacted by a whistleblower.

The whistleblower told them the FBI had interviewed an informant making bribery claims about Joe Biden, with the interview recorded in the document.

According to CNN, the file is connected with investigations by Rudy Giuliani during the Trump administration.

The report notes the FBI allowed only Comer and US Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, to view the informant file at its headquarters on Monday.

Comer emphasized the “controlled” viewing meant his subpoena hadn’t been fulfilled, and he was going ahead with contempt proceedings against FBI chief Christopher Wray.
