Biden/AOC Blame ‘Climate Crisis’ for THIS?!

US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)

(DCWatchdog.com) – President Joe Biden and far-left US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed almost simultaneously the Canadian wildfires sending smoke to the US were connected with “the climate crisis.”

“We’ve deployed more than 600 US firefighters, support personnel, and equipment to support Canada as they respond to record wildfires – events that are intensifying because of the climate crisis,” Biden’s Twitter account wrote.

“Here at home, we’re in close touch with state and local leaders to ensure they have the support they need. It’s critical that Americans experiencing dangerous air pollution, especially those with health conditions, listen to local authorities to protect themselves and their families,” his tweet elaborated.

Hours earlier, New York US Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, had pointed to the Canadian wildfires and record heat in Puerto Rico as examples of “the climate crisis.”

She also sought to promote her failed Green New Deal legislation, which was rejected twice by Congress.

“Between NYC in wildfire smoke and this in PR, it bears repeating how unprepared we are for the climate crisis,” AOC wrote on Twitter, as cited by Fox News.

“We must adapt our food systems, energy grids, infrastructure, healthcare, etc ASAP to prepare for what’s to come and catch up to what is already here,” added the leader of the far-left “Squad” in the House of Representatives.

Last week, Canada was fighting 413 wildfires, with 249 of them out of control. They had affected 8.15 million acres, almost 13 times the average for the past decade.

As the wildfires poured smoke into the United States, entire areas along the East Coast, including New York City, were covered in orange smog throughout last week, a view compared by some to the surface of the planet Mars.

It remains unknown what exactly brought about the massive forest fires. Still, large swaths of Canada have been suffering drought and heat waves, which may have contributed to sparking the large-scale calamity.

The fires have displaced 20,000 Canadians, leading the country’s government to contact other nations for fire-fighting help.

A Fox Weather analysis of the records of the Environmental Protection Agency showed that the Canadian wildfires caused the worst air quality in New York City’s history.
