(DCWatchdog.com) – Another violent threat against President Donald Trump has been thwarted after authorities arrested a Florida man for his disturbing social media posts.

42-year-old Kendal Aaron Todd faces serious charges after challenging the president to “fight me naked to the death.”

In Fort Pierce, Florida, law enforcement officials arrested Todd after he posted an 80-second video on social media in which he declared himself president and called Trump the Antichrist.

Conducted jointly by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Secret Service, the investigation revealed truly shocking threats that included specifics about cutting President Trump up with a chainsaw and putting him in acid.

Todd now faces charges of issuing “written threats to kill or do bodily harm” and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

According to court documents, authorities executed a search warrant at Todd’s residence.

There, they discovered two handguns, which have since been seized under Florida’s “red flag” law that allows for temporary removal of firearms from individuals showing signs of violence.

St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro revealed that law enforcement had been monitoring Todd for over a week due to growing concerns about his mental state.

“He just kept escalating his behavior,” Del Toro stated, noting that the threats quickly caught the attention of federal authorities.

“He got the attention obviously of the United States Secret Service — and that got our attention,” the sheriff added.

Records show Todd has a history of mental health issues and was previously treated under the Baker Act, Florida’s law that allows for involuntary psychiatric examination.

Alarmingly, a relative reported that Todd had expressed “suicide by cop” ideations, suggesting he might provoke law enforcement into a deadly confrontation.

When deputies had previously tried to deliver civil paperwork to his home, Todd reportedly became combative and threatened violence.

While the mainstream media often downplays or ignores threats against conservative figures like President Trump, law enforcement officials are taking such threats seriously, particularly given recent history.

Neighbors confirmed Todd’s strange behavior had been ongoing. Resident Ronald Barron commented on the threats by saying, “That’s not cool at all.”

The community had noticed increased law enforcement presence in the area before Todd’s arrest, and many were not surprised when he was finally taken into custody.

A risk protection order against Todd remains in place until a March 24 hearing.

Adding a tragic dimension to this case, Todd is Tricia Todd’s brother. Tricia was murdered by her ex-husband in 2016, which may have contributed to Tood’s mental health struggles.
