
(DCWatchdog.com) – BREAKING NOW: A tragic event occurred in Fargo, North Dakota, where a police officer was fatally shot on Friday. Two other police officers were severely injured, and two civilians were hurt in the same incident.
The individual suspected of causing this incident lost his life during the confrontation. This happened at the crossroads of 25th Street South and 9th Avenue South, according to a Fargo Police press statement issued after midnight.
“A total of five individuals sustained injuries in this incident. The Fargo Police Department can confirm that one of its officers has died as a result of sustained injuries and two remain in critical condition this evening,” the City of Fargo announced about the shooting. “Two other involved civilians sustained serious injuries, including the suspect who has died as a result of the shooting.”
At first, people living near the shooting site were asked to leave for safety while the police were investigating. However, the police later assured that the area was no longer dangerous to the public.
While the investigation is still in progress, the names of those involved haven’t been disclosed. The reason for this is that the police are still in the process of informing their families about what happened. The motive behind the shooting is still unknown.
Fargo Police have announced they won’t share any more details before a planned press meeting on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
